The JCC Warriors basketball program is officially entering its championship season, with 22 teams set to compete for provincial glory over the next six weeks. As the premier event on the youth basketball calendar, the Ontario Basketball Association (OBA) Cup and Provincial Championships represent the highest level of competition in the province.

Leading the charge is the U13 North Blue squad, who head into their Provincial Championship weekend as the favorites after winning their pool. Their dominant performance throughout the season has officially earned them the distinction of being the top-ranked U13 boys team in Ontario entering the final bracket.

“This is the moment our athletes and coaches have been working toward since the first whistle in the fall,” said Sean Katzoti, Technical Director of JCC Warriors Basketball. “Seeing 22 of our teams qualify for OBA championship events is a testament to the depth of our program and the relentless development of our players. We are especially proud of our U13 North Blue team for earning the top seed in the province—they have set a standard for excellence that inspires the entire club.”

The championship stretch begins this weekend, April 17-19, with teams traveling to Niagara and Ottawa, followed by a dense schedule of competition throughout April and May.

JCC Warriors OBA Championship Schedule:

• April 10-12 (Completed): U9 (Niagara), U10 South (Niagara), U11 North White (Durham), U11 North Blue (Scarborough), U11 South (Durham).
• April 17-19: U12 Girls (Ottawa), U12 North White (Niagara), U12 North Blue (Niagara), U12 South (Niagara).
• April 24-26: U13 Girls (Brampton), U13 North White (Niagara), U13 North Blue (Scarborough - Provincial Championships), U13 South (Niagara), U13 Downtown (Niagara).

• May 1-3: U14 Girls (Niagara), U14 North White (Ottawa), U14 North Blue (Ottawa), U14 South White (Ottawa), U14 South Blue (Awaiting Final Seeding).
• May 22-24: U15 South (Niagara), U15 North (Niagara), U16 North Blue (Kitchener), U16 North White (Kitchener), U16 South (Awaiting Final Seeding).
